Catholic Charities Week culminated on Oct. 2 with a Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated by His Most Rev. Bishop Robert Kasun. The annual Mass was held at St. Paul’s Basilica to honour the organization’s volunteers and those of its member agencies. A reception followed in the parish hall, where Catholic Charities celebrated and recognized the recipients of its 2025 scholarships, community service awards, and bursaries. Nearly $50,000 was awarded this year.

Representatives from several Catholic Charities member agencies and partners were in attendance, including the Archdiocese of Toronto, the Angel Foundation for Learning, Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, Catholic Crosscultural Services, CFS Durham, CFS Peel Dufferin, Rosalie Hall, SE Health, Silent Voice Canada, St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre, Unity Health, University of St. Michael’s College, and Vita Centre. Their presence was a testament to our shared mission of serving with compassion and solidarity: the spirit that unites our Catholic community.

As Catholic Charities marks 113 years of walking with those on the margins, we offer our prayers and gratitude for all who serve, and for their steadfast commitment to answering Christ’s call to love and accompany those in need.
