Cardinal Leo travels to St. Francis Xavier Parish in Mississauga

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, His Eminence, Frank Cardinal Leo, travelled to a packed St. Francis Xavier Parish in Mississauga to celebrate Mass, marking his first time visiting since being elevated to the College of Cardinals.

In his homily, Cardinal Leo talked about praising and giving thanks to the Lord, especially in going to Mass every week, calling it “our Easter of the week.” In addition, reflecting on the gospel readings and noting the busyness of the parish through its various ministries, Cardinal Leo encouraged all to remember our mission of building the Lord’s kingdom.

Special thanks to Fr. Andrew Cyruk, the pastor of the parish, the associate pastors, the staff and volunteers who helped organize the Mass and reception, as well as all the parishioners taking the time out of their Saturday evening to join in this very special occasion.
